Leavenworth 2010

The second weekend in December we packed up and headed to Leavenworth for the tree lighting ceremony. I have wanted to do this for a couple of years and decided to make it my b-day gift so no arguments from the peanut gallery :0). It was absolutely beautiful since we were blessed with SNOW!!! There was a winter storm warning and there was actually a foot of snow on the car when we left after our fun filled day in the village. We all had a wonderful time, sledding, shopping, lots of hot cocoa and the lights were so pretty. A great way to enjoy the holiday season, so we will definitely be going back at some point!

Our first night in town we went to dinner and headed to Leavenworth to check it out and get hot chocolate

Some of the lights that were up on Friday night

The kids with father Christmas, they also meet scrooge and were given gold coins, but that was when we were walking back to the car so didn't have my camera out as it was such wet snow!

The band playing Christmas music
Avery was getting cold, notice how much snow is on Austin's head!

It was so wet and busy I just held my camera up to try and get some pics of the lights

A very bad attempt at a family photo in the crowd and wet, wet, snow!!! An amazing time none the less!
