Santa Pictures 08

So we were up and at the mall right at 10am to see Santa! It was a zoo, but being fourth in line made it bearable. The kids were dressed so cute, but the chances of everyone being happy and looking at the camera is always a long shot, but they did pretty good and I also caught their wish lists on video- so fun! Afterwards Kendall was able to get an appointment for a hair cut and it looks great, then both girls had their ears pierced. I had planned on Avery getting it done and then Kendall said she would do it to show Avery. This was Kendall's second time as I had hers pierced when she was a little over four months, but when she hit a year old she pulled all the earrings out of her ear. Will post some pics later.

November's over???

November finished in a blink of an eye! Since the last post- I turned 34 and celebrated at the cheesecake factory and by attending the scrapbook convention. Grandpa Fisher and Sydney both celebrated birthdays too! We had an apple cup party at our house (a last minute thing) and the cougs actually won! Kendall went on her second sleepover birthday party, no problem saying good bye to mom, instead I hardly slept and put both phones by the bed just in case she called! The hunt for a trailer before camping season continues, but we have narrowed the search. We celebrated Thanksgiving at our house this year with my mom coming up. Grandma Spencer stayed the night so Austin and I could enjoy the shopping frenzy- a little disappointed in the sales, but at least accomplished a lot. We even cleaned the garage enough that weekend to park both cars in- no scrapping ice- Hooray! Oh, and by clean I mean shoved everything into a pile :0) On Sunday it was time to get the Christmas spirit and we put up the tree, the kids had a ball! The pictures pretty much tell the story!
For those on baby watch here is an Avery update: She had her last well baby visit and is doing well. She is 5 months now, she weighs 14 pounds one ounce and is 25 inches long. She is drinking both breast and formula. She started rice cereal and doesn't care much for it. Tried peas yesterday with the same ho-hum response. She is rolling all over the place! She has two bottom teeth that are desperately trying to break through making her oh so happy lately, but all and all she is doing wonderful and we are so fortunate to have such a healthy and happy addition to the family!

Seattle Thunderbirds

The first weekend in November was a great start to the month. On Friday night we took the kids to the Seattle Thunderbirds game in Key Arena. I had bought the tickets through the kids silent auction for a great price and they had to be redeemed during October or November so the game was against Red Deer? Not sure where they are from, but it was a great game none the less. Kendall was so surprised that they fight and push as part of the game, Logan loved to cheer with the crowd regardless if it was for Seattle and Avery was just amazed by all the sights and sounds that she was up the whole time- we left the game at 9:30pm! It was definitely a fun time. The team is actually moving in January to the new ice rink in Kent which will be even closer so we will definitely be going to another game. Who knows maybe I will get Logan excited enough to play :0) When we were walking back to the car Austin asked him "So are you going to play hockey?" Logan- "No" Austin- "Do you want to play football?" Logan- "No" A-"Do you want to play baseball then?" L-"No" A-"Why not? what do you want to play" L- "I don't want to get hurt so I'm gonna play checkers" I laughed so hard I thought I was going to pee my pants! I guess I need to sign the boy up for some sports!

Halloween

Austin came home Thursday night and the party began! The kids were so excited to see him we went out to dinner, which was a nice treat for me. Then on Halloween it was full steam ahead! The kids needed to go to grandma Fisher's for a couple of hours so we could go to parent teacher conferences at their school. They are doing great in school and so now it was time to celebrate Halloween. We came home and carved our pumpkins. Austin helped Kendall with her pumpkin and I helped Logan carve Avery's as Logan's pumpkin had rotted. When it came time to draw a face on the pumpkins Logan wanted batman and Kendall wanted wonder woman-yeah, that will be easy?? So we did our best and the kids liked them. The kids got dressed and off to papa murpphy's we went. Grandma Spencer came up to go out trick or treating with us. Then lots of photos for mommy and time to go out trick or treating. We hit our neighborhood- all of two houses. Then we went to our favorite neighborhood in Sunrise where they all decorate their houses. Then we hit a few houses in Kim's neighborhood a busy and late night, but soooo much fun!

While Daddy's away....

So Austin left last Thursday for his annual hunting trip and we have been keeping busy! Kendall had dance class on Thursday night, Friday night we visited with the Marecle's. Saturday the Kowalchuck kids came over for a couple of hours and then aunt Patty from Spokane stopped by with Grandma Fisher. Then on Sunday we couldn't pass up the beautiful day- we headed up to Seattle for our first visit to the Woodland Park Zoo. It was the zoos- Pumpkin Prowl. We loved the zoo and we definitely will go back when daddy comes home. The rest of the week has been pretty much business as usual with the kids in school and me working on Mondays. Austin will make a special trip home for Halloween so will post that later. Then he will be back to hunting that big elk!
Avery Update-- Avery is now 4 months- wow that was fast! She can roll from her back to her tummy, she is smiling and laughing and wants so badly to sit up. She has discovered her hands and reaches for everything- her personal favorite is my hair!

second week in September

The second weekend of September found us sinking into the routine of school and work. Since the summer was pretty low key I booked a family trip to Oregon. I don't remeber going to Cannon Beach, but Austin swears we did when we lived in Portland? On the way down we stopped at my Aunt and Uncle's place in Raymond Wa. Really nice to see them and catch up. The kids had a great time at their place playing outside with my cousins daughter- Kaitlyn. The kids climbed the apple tree and Logan ate sooo many apples I thought he would get sick! At any rate it was the kids first trip to the beach and grandma Spencer came too! We had a blast, our hotel was really nice it had a kitchen and fireplace. Of course grandma Spencer brought food, so we did use the kitchen. The pool was directly under our room so the kids swam every night. We spent part of one day at Seaside Oregon and the rest of the time in Cannon Beach. Lots of fun on the beach and shopping too! Unfortunately our last day at the beach was when we recieved the phone call to hear that "Papa" Allan had passed away. He was the kids great-grandpa and Austin's step grandpa who is married to Great-grandma Marilyn. Alan will be dearly missed by all, but it is comforting to know he will no longer feel ill.

September is off and running......

Well, September is here and I wish there was a word other than busy to use as I am always saying how busy things are, but I guess that is just the word of the moment. September is off, the kids are back at school and all the family activities are a go. We spent the first weekend of September at the Puyallup Fair. A great time had by all. The first night we went we ate, saw the animals and kids did just a couple of rides. The second time we went was all about the rides. The kids had dizzy passes which means unlimited rides and lots of patience needed by parents, it was a Tuesday night and still pretty busy. A krusty pup later and all is good. The second weekend of September was a road trip to cannon beach, more to come on that later. For now here are the pics of the fair.

The end of summer.....

So as the summer break has come to an end, life has continued to speed up! The kids finished swim lessons and had a great time with them. Trips to the library, park and visiting friends rounded out August. Still pretty home bound for us, but all of that changed this week! The kids started school on Tuesday and by Thursday Logan was asking when he could stay home with me! All and all they are happy to be back in school with their friends, I am adjusting to the thought of Kendall being a Kindergartner! She is still at St. Nicholas so it doesn't feel that different, but I know this is huge step! Today was my first official day back at work for the school year and while I am still working part-time, Avery had to go to daycare none the less and that was heart wrenching! Why did I decide to work this year? Austin asked the same thing as I called him upset with leaving all the kids and going to work! We all survived and Nikki even sent me text messages and pictures of Avery during the day, she is amazing! We have lots of activities planned this month, So September is off and running.......

August so far....

So now it is August and what a month it has been so far. We have been finishing up swim lessons and Logan passed so he will move up a class. Kendall is still working on mastering her level. The kids went fishing on Summit Lake and had a blast, they each caught 4 fish a piece. They even worked on cleaning them and cooking them- more Kendall than Logan. We had a wonderful visit from the Titus' who live in Texas, that included a trip to Mt. Saint Helens and the cabin in Packwood. It was really nice to see the who Titus family for a BBQ at Grandpa Don's in Everette. Matt was even able to fly up from California to spend time at the cabin with all of us and next year we look forward to a get together in Lake Tahoe! On another note today brought good news as Avery saw the cardiologist and he confirmed that her heart murmor is incidental-AKA, no big deal :0) Well that brings us up to date with life so far. This weekend we hope to work in the yard and Austin is planning on taking the kids to see the new Star Wars movie, I hope to nap with Avery when they are gone :0)

Life as a family of 5......

So it has been awhile since I have had a chance to update the blog.... such is life! Since the last update of announcing Avery life has been both flying by and in slow motion. So here we go, the month of July was quite slow for us as I needed more time to recover than I did with the last two c-sections. Life went on none the less. We celebrated the fourth of July with the Marecle family, which was Avery's first holiday! We spent July adjusting to little sleep, as Avery eats every 2-3 hours, but she has been giving us one longer stretch of 4-5 hours every night and she doesn't have her nights and days mixed up which is truly a blessing! Our days have been spent with the kids playing in the pool, watching movies, playing outside, doing crafts and helping mommy with Avery, Kendall wants to hold her all the time! As the middle of month came around I started to feel better and the kids started swim lessons Monday thru Thursday in the mornings. We added trips to the Library and the Park to the weekly routine. We also spent time with friends as Kennedy turned 4. We celebrated our 9th wedding anniversary by leaving the kids, Avery for the first time! We actually had an adult afternoon by watching The Dark Knight on IMAX and then dinner at an Indian restaurant in Seattle. That was July and August definitely is busier!

Avery!

Well after much waiting we are happy to announce that Avery Jewell Fisher has finally arrived. I work hard walking all weekend in hopes she would arrive sooner, but the schedule is what she stuck to. So on Monday morning at 8:28am Dr. Cammarano took her via C-section. I can say this was my third and last C-section! All went well for the most part and we should be coming home from the hospital tomorrow-Thursday. We have already had many important visitors and have enjoyed all the well wishes! Enjoy the pictures and we will keep you up to date as the Fisher clan is officially a party of 5 now!
