K's bowling/sleepover birthday

The big day finally came for Kendall to have her friend's and family birthday party! She was allowed to pick 5 girls to go bowling and sleepover. I learned my lesson with having 10 last year! This year I was hoping the bowling would tire them out early-no such luck! The girls didn't fall asleep until after 12:30am! Kendall had an amazing time. We all had a blast bowling at Pacific Lanes, even the adults bowled! Then we did cupcakes, jello pops and gifts at the bowling alley before heading home. Once home we ate a gourmet meal of hot-dogs, again Kendall's request, then the party was one. They painted nails, played barbies, dress-up and watched a couple of movies before finally drifting off to slumber. In the morning Austin made the girls waffles, pancakes and bacon. Then it was more play time, shooting hoops, on the playground and the computer before it was time to say good bye and pass out the goody bags. All the girls played really well together and had a wonderful time, I think this is becoming a tradition! At least one Kendall would like to start :0)

Great Wolf Lodge 1/10

On Thursday after school we headed to the Great Wolfe Lodge to keep the birthday celebrations going and for some family fun! We had a great time. We arrived after dinner on Thursday night so we spent the evening running around the hotel playing the Magic Quest Wand game. We had done this before, but it was really cute to have Avery in on the action. On Friday we spent the day in the park, had some ice-cream and another Quest before heading home. We were all very tired so it was an early dinner and to bed as the weekend would be Kendall's big party!

Happy Birthdays

I know we all feel this way, that time keeps slipping by, but again I will say I can't believe where the time goes. Austin is now 34 and our baby Kendall is 7! Crazy to think it has been 7 years since we started the journey of parenthood. At any rate we are enjoying the ride and this birthday was no exception. Kendall and Austin started the morning with a big breakfast and gifts. Then Kendall was off to school. She had a pizza lunch with the school counselor-Mrs. Drury, because they have the same birthday! Kendall invited her friend Maddy, Avery, me and the Principal Mr. Soltez even joined in on the fun. Then it was off to class for cupcakes, before the earthquake drill! Once school was out we headed to Grandma and Grandpa Fisher's for dinner. Kendall had requested steak, so steak it was then more gifts and finally cake and ice-cream! What a busy but amazing day! Happy Birthday Kendall and Austin!

Oh what a night

Last night was my much anticipated Bunco/House Party. It was such a blast!!!! Thanks so much to everyone who came and made me laugh harder than I have laughed in a long time! I actually won Bunco which was an unexpected surprise, but still to hang out with everyone and watch everyone dance to the "Just Dance" Wii game was hilarious! If you have a Wii this is a must buy game- the music is great and the moves are so fun! Kendall loves it too! I had set up the "shape up" game as well, but it takes a lot to get going and is a one person at a time game. We had temptation pudding cups to try and they are really yummy- 60 calories and no fat! All in all I will definitely do another house party and if you are interested in seeing possible parties to host go to www.houseparty.com Bunco is always fun and a great opportunity to catch up with everyone, soooo who is hosting the next Bunco?

K's first basketball game

This year Kendall has decided to try all the different organized sports, so now we are on to Basketball. She is playing on a puyallup parks and rec team that is coached by our good friend Jamin Marecle. The girls are having a blast and Jamin is a great coach. They had their first game this Saturday and it was pretty fun to watch. The girls all really want to have the ball! They are off to a great start and it will be fun to watch them get better as the season goes on!

Bowling update

I know most of you don't care, but the blog is a record of our life and I am so excited that I have a new high bowling score! 164- I think that is respectable :0)Corky also did amazing and broke two-hundred with a high score of 206!

Out with the old

With the holidays came a ton of new toys! It was time to go through the playroom and organize, kids were not so excited about this but in the end they really got into it and I am happy to say things look a lot better! We had bought some wardrobes at Ikea last summer to organize the room better and at the time I reallly wanted the doors you could buy too, however the doors were crazy expensive! 350.00 for the sliding ones and 180.00 for the 2 doors that cover one cabinet! Insane! Just last week though Ikea had a sale, so against Austin's better wishes we headed to Ikea. I was thrilled to find the sliding doors on sale for 87.50! Yippe the room looks so much better!

Christmas week 09

Christmas week was very busy for us. We are so blessed to have family close and family that is willing to travel to spend time with us! Winter Break started Monday for the kids and I, we kicked it off by celebrating Jace's 4th birthday at the Grand Cinema by watching Dawn of the Dinosaurs. We didn't make it all the way through the movie but it was fun none the less. Tuesday the Titus's from San Antonio Texas were in and we spent the day with them at Grandparent Fisher's house. It was great to catch up with everyone. Kevin is now a freshman at San Antonio UT and Gabby is already a Senior in High School looking at colleges! Wow where does the time go? Tuesday night we hit Anthony's for dinner and planned on skiing and snowboarding on Wednesday. I was up at 5am, lunches packed, skiis on the car and just closed the trunk to come into the house and find Kendall throwing up! So we headed over to Grandma's with puke bowl in Kendall's hand- passed off all the skiis and winter clothing and the Titus's headed to the mountain with out us. They had a great time and by dinner Kendall was feeling better. Wednesday was Christmas Eve and spent with the Titus's- Patty made an amazing Chicken tortilla soup for Christmas Eve dinner. We made some cookies for Santa too! Then it was home, baths, cookies out for Santa and Daddy read Twas the night before christmas.
Christmas morning came sooner than I hoped, Kendall was up at 5:32am and in our room. She was so good and paitence lying next to us in bed waiting for Logan to wake up, after about 5 minutes she was up telling us what Santa had brought. Logan was up and the festivities began. Avery slept in until 6am when we woke her up. At about 7:30 Grandma Spencer arrived with more gifts. We at breakfast and before you knew it, it was time to head to Grandparent Fisher's for the big gathering. Christmas dinner was at Grandma and Grandp Fisher's this year since the Titus's were in town. We had 30 or family their for the feast and gift mayheim! It was amazing times with family- Merry Christmas 2009!
