Hello New Year 2011

We celebrated 2011 with a family trip to the movies.  We saw Tangled and we all loved it, then went to dinner before we came home and prepped for getting back on schedule.  Monday was busy to say the least! Logan had ice skating and the girls started gymnastics.  It is nice that their classes are at the same time.  Wasn't sure how Avery would do since this is her first structured activity, but she loved it and since we were the only people who showed up for the class she pretty much got a private lesson-score! She did so wonderful following directions and loved every minute of the class.  Kendall did great too, and her coach came up to me after class to tell me they will probably move her up after 2 classes as she is doing well and is able to match her body with what the coach is telling her to do-Yeah Kendall! Logan continues to love skating and will be tested again next week to see if he gets to move up a level or not.  Austin said he is getting faster on the skates, so can't wait to trade off and get some pictures of him and watch.  I love watching the kids find things that interest them!

Again jumping on the low beam

she did so good on the high beam, she was able to jump and everything, she did eventually fall and it scared her, but she got right back up! I was really impressed since it was her first night of class!

2011 here we come

On New Year's Day we took a drive up to Paradise to play in the snow with our friend's the Cypher's.   The drive was beautiful!  I could just stare out the window and watch everything covered in snow all day!  We arrived and it wasn't too busy yet, there were a lot of people their to go snowshoeing, definitely adding that to my list of things to try :0)  It was really cold at the top the car said 18 degrees. We suited everyone up and honestly that took about a half hour, but finally we were ready to sled.  The kids didn't last as long as I thought they would but it was fun none the less and I am sure we will be back soon!
The view on the drive up

Avery (2), Logan (5), Kennedy (6), Kendall (7) and Xander (3) all suited up and ready to go!

Logan was wore out!

We headed back to the car and then the kids said they wanted to stay longer! So we took a little walk while Austin warmed Avery up at the car and gave her a snack! Love this pic, Look at all that snow and it is only December!

Christmas Break 2010

Gosh we had been so busy up to Christmas that when Christmas was actually over we needed time to just relax, not to mention I was still in recovery mode from the Novasure Procedure.  It was really nice to have sometime to watch movies, visit friends and just play with all the toys and games the kids have.  I was hoping to get more organizing done, but hey that can happen in the New Year!  Here are some pics off our time during the break!

Playing around the house

Sorry the pic is blurry I was so excited after 2 years I finally put the vinyl up as I am redoing the picture wall

We were blessed with snow!

Christmas 2010

Christmas 2010- we were so incredibly blessed!  To start the kids actually slept in until 7am when we were woke up by the Hobson's and the Grandparent Fisher's.  The excitement started with looking over the Santa gifts and then hitting the stockings. Then the paper went flying and the kids were just down right giddy! The kids received just what they had asked Santa for- Kendall asked for the Barbie Vacation House, Logan asked for the Trio Batcave and Avery asked for a Baby Elmo. Stockings were filled with DVD's, flashlights, underwear, an orange and candy! The girls even had nail polish while Logan had some Lego Star Wars Magnets. Every year I say I am not going to buy that much and really I was good this year considering half of the Christmas budget went to Austin and I's gift- the new TV hanging on the wall yet the kids had a lot of gifts!  After all the gifts we had breakfast, then Grandma Spencer arrived with more gifts! The kids were so excited to play with everything and it was really nice to have a chance to clean up and relax.  Then we headed over to Grandma Marilyn's for Christmas dinner and you guessed it more gifts!  All in all it was an amazing Christmas filled with blessings and family!

Christmas Eve 2010

We had a low key Christmas Eve at home.  We made a yummy steak dinner and then the Fisher Grandparent's stopped by to give the kids their gifts since we knew Christmas morning would be busy.
Each kiddo received a box of goodies.

They started to find things inside were also wrapped, but each got some Lego's

What a mess already

A hat that is perfect for Logan! He loves it as you will see it in most pictures of him!

New Minnie Jammies for "A"

The big gift! Doug made me or should I say Logan a train table for his 3rd b-day and he is really not into the trains anymore so I asked the talented Doug if he could make me a Lego top to fit in the table! Carol shopped, Doug made and the kids are super happy as am I!

Trying out their new Lego sets on the table

Avery loves the color purple and was so excited to have a pretty dress for her and her baby that she put it on right away!

After baths they helped Grandma make the cinnamon rolls for Christmas morning

Love this pic! Avery is using the binoculars that came with Logan's subscription to Ranger Rick as a camera and she was periodically taking pictures of me while I took pictures of them and Daddy read The Night Before Christmas and notice Logan and the hat-Love it!

Picking cookies for Santa

Posing with Milk and Cookies

Yum

Love that Kendall is so thoughtful- she wrote a Thank You note to Santa and wanted to clarify on what Avery wanted since Santa at the Mall thought "A" said she wanted a babydoll  when she said she wanted a "Baby Elmo", she also didn't want the pets to be left out!

One last pose in Christmas Jammies before bedtime!
