Summer Camping Moses Lake 2010

The second week in July was our 3rd camping trip of the season and usually our longest.  In the past we have spent a week at Banks Lake, but this year we had a last minute change in plans and had to do something different.  So we headed to Moses Lake, Wa.  I had always heard good things about their city waterpark and I found a private campsite that was open and even had a pool, so off to try a new place we went.  We only stayed 5 days instead of 7 since the city was going to be busy over the weekend and the waterpark would be on limited hours starting Friday due to a swim meet.  The weather was perfect and we had an amazing time!

New Do

Kendall and I have been growing our hair out so that when the wedding came we could have it fixed by the pros.  Now Kendall was ready for a "new do", and I think I will grow mine a little longer, since I am loving the pony tail on the hot days. I love Kendall's new look- very cute. Poor Avery on the other hand has had a 103 temp this weekend and the verdict is an ear infection!
This is what a fever looks like on one of my kiddos- notice the sleepy eye!  Always means a fever!

Heat Wave

The sun has finally came out and it feels like a heat wave compared to just last weekend the 4th of July when the temps were not even in the 60's! This week we broke some records with highs in the 90's- Whoo-hooo! I love it and so do the kids, well as long as they are in the pool!  The yard is looking better, with the fence up now all that is left is to do now is to put the finishing touches on the stairs, so they match up with the fence, stain and fill in some areas with dirt or rock.  So nice to be close to done and it is really a nice space for the kids.
Logan and Avery have been playing with the bubbles almost everyday this week!

Kendall should have gills by now, she never wants to get out of the pool!

Lunch in the sun

This is one of the faces I get every time they see me with the camera-they are into "silly faces"

Logan's version of a "silly face"

Logan truly being silly

Waterlogged now time for the trampoline

Austin with Leroy

So they say the 3rd kid gets shafted and you never take as many pictures, well I think that is wrong for us as I can't help but snap pictures of her!

Happy July 4th 2010

We spent the fourth of July at the cabin in Packwood again this year.  What a different experience it was this year! Last year we played in the pool all day, but this year it was cold enough to have a fire going in the fireplace most of the weekend! It was cold and wet, giving new meaning to the words "cabin fever"! Luckily it was a nice excuse to rest.  The kids watched movies, played with legos and made cookies.  We played cards in the evening and braved the weather for a trip to the park.  Kendall, Austin and Doug even went golfing.  The last day we were there the weather started to clear up and we were able to be outside for a little exploring time.  Always a great time at the cabin :0)

Summer fun

With the wedding finished and the masses of birthdays finished it is now time to bring on the summer craziness!  That means activities, pool time, camping, and vacations!  We are off and going with our first activity.  Logan started the "learn to skate program" the end of June and seems to really like it.  He is too cute on skates!

gifts and goodbyes

The next day after the wedding-Sunday.  We headed to the Fisher house for gifts and goodbye's.  We watched "The Hobson's" open their wedding gifts, ate some leftovers and unloaded the trucks. We looked at some of the pictures from the wedding on my laptop and then finally it was time to say goodbye to the Titus clan.  It was great to see everyone and can't wait to do it again, maybe as a vacation though not such a big event :0)

Introducing the Hobson's

On June 26th 2010 Jacqui Fisher married Chris Hobson!  It was an amazing day.  It started with the girls getting ready at Jacqui's parent's house.  Then toWright park for pictures- hempfest was happening at the park too.  Then to St. Leo's for the official wedding and the Thurston County Fairgrounds for the reception.  Jacqui and Chris wanted a Mexican touch to the weeding so the menu was enchiladas, quesadilla, rice, beans and all the toppings! There was plenty of chips and salsa and a pinata for the kids.  Their colors were blue and orange and could be found in the m &m's that were personalized.  The family worked hard on making the majority of the food with Patty Titus making her famous Mexican rice.  Amanda Hobson made the beautiful cake.  The food and decorations turned out great!  Lil and her hubby tended bar most of the night.  Everyone helped make the day special and wish Jacqui and Chris all the best!

rehearsal and dinner

Thursday night was the big rehearsal and dinner for the Hobson Wedding.  Kendall and Logan did great! Avery on the other hand was a wild animal! She ran all over the church during our practice run and we had to watch her to make sure she didn't jump in the baptism pool! The practice went well then it was off to Chris' grandma's place on the water in Gig Harbour.  We had a BBQ dinner and then Chris' mom did a "cutting of the apron strings" with her special "mom's scissors" and then Carol gave Chris a scrapbook of Jacqui's life.  Good food, family and great friends= Good times!

Avery turns TWO

It is hard to believe how fast the last 2 years have flown by.  Our baby is no longer a baby and now a toddler!  It comes with mixed emotions, happy to say goodbye to bottles, high chairs and diapers, but sad that she is already wanting to do everything herself!  At any rate we were so happy to celebrate this milestone! So on her official birthday June 23rd as a family it was Avery's day!  We started the morning with Daddy going to work late so he could have breakfast and gifts with us.  Then the kids spent most of the days playing with the gifts, then it was dinner at IHOP! Avery and Logan love pancakes and could eat them for every meal so pancakes for dinner it was.  Then we headed to the supermall for a blizzard dessert and a ride on the carousel to top off the evening.  Still amazed my "Mona" is officially 2 years old!

BBQ with Cougs 2010

On Tuesday night June 22nd we were able to spend sometime with old friends.  Mitch and Shannon Neeley have moved over to our side of the mountains and were gracious enough to host a BBQ in their new beautiful house.  Jason and Leisel Usoski came over from Montana to visit too!  Shannon and Leisel have been best friends since they meet at WSU! I lived with Shannon, Katie and Rachel at WSU when Leisel graduated and moved out.  The boys-Austin, Jamin and Ryan lived together. Mitch, Leif and Franklin lived across the hall and Topher lived a couple doors down.  The even crazier part is how we all dated and married!  Mitch and Shannon, Leisel and Jason, Austin and I, Katie and Ryan and Jamin and Rachel all married our coug loves! Of course Shannon and Mitch and Rach and Jamin also dated in high school, but still amazing to me.  Leif is married to Lindsey who he meet after college and Topher is still on the prowl :0)  All the married folks have kids and they all played so well together.  It was great to see everyone and catch up!

Happy Father's Day 2010

We are so blessed to have Austin in our lives! He is an amazing husband and even better father!  We celebrated him on Father's Day with a quite day at home per his request.  He opened gifts- new slippers, work shirts, mini- grill and the most priceless creations the kids made.  We watched movies all day and he watched some golf too, it was a really nice day!  Happy Father's day to an amazing man!
