Still celebrating

So the house was destroyed over the weekend and now on Monday we have a little house project to do...... New Wood Floors!! YIPPPEEE! We are replacing the disgusting 8 year old carpet in the living room and hallway with beautiful hardwood. Step one- rip everything out, but the pad, so that was Monday! Then Tuesday was Kendall and Austin's actual birthdays. After baking brownies, we celebrated her birthday at school with a birthday circle. I think her favorite part was having Avery there! We had dinner at Outback and dessert at ColdStone. Thanks to Grandma Marilyn for the Outback giftcard and Coldstone gives free birthday ice-creams if you sign up for their birthday club :0) Then the kids went to bed and we pulled the pad out and finally this morning the floors were installed- Love it! Now we can just spend the rest of the week catching up! Well I guess until Sunday- Go Cardinals!

Birthdays 2009

Well, the whirlwind of birthdays hit this past weekend as many of you know as you came to the festivities! My oldest is actually 6 now- where does the time go? Austin turned a young 33 too. Saturday was the kick off with family arriving at 2 for a family exchange of gifts. Then at 4pm more family and friends arrived to celebrate Kendall's big day, and then 10 girls were invited to stay the night. I know what was I thinking? As one parent put it how is the "30 hour party going?" We actually only had 8 stay the night and one that stayed til 10pm. It was really not that bad. They played the Wii watched two movies and then at 1 am finally went to sleep. They were up at 7am as some needed to get to church and such while others hung out til around 10am. I actually had the easy part of letting them play as the parents who picked their daughters up had to deal with the "I don't wanna go yet!" After all of it I am sure it will be a party Kendall will never forget! Thanks to all who endured the craziness with us to celebrate Kendall's big day, oh and Austin's too :0)

staying busy

The new year is off and running as is the Fisher family. We have had a great start to the new year with an extra long break, thanks to snow and flooding! We have spent that time at home hanging out and enjoying life. Kendall is getting ready to turn 6 and have her first sleep over party, she was so excited to help with the invitations. Avery is growing so fast, sitting up and just about ready to crawl. Logan loves his sister's and is willing to help out at a moments notice especially when it comes to giving Avery the bottle. Hard to believe these pictures were during January since it was so sunny! Finally I had to snap a picture of the kids watching the inauguration of Obama, so when they look back I can tell them exactly where they were at that moment. Now it is off the get ready for the birthdays!

The Holidays

So December went by in a blur! I am sure everyone was just as busy as us with the season. The second weekend in December we finished up our shopping and decorating the house. Then the third week in December we were blessed with Snow!!! Soooo much fun the kids had a great time with snow days and I loved the extended break. We stayed busy playing outside, crafts inside and getting ready for Christmas. On the third weekend in December Kendall, myself, Jacqui, grandma Fisher and great grandma Marilyn headed to Seattle to see the Nutcracker. We had a great time! It snowed sooo much on the way back it was beautiful! Avery is sitting up now and will have a 6 month check up soon.
We spent Christmas Eve with the Titus family in Everett. Matt flew up from LA and Andrew was home from Pullman. Matt even gave us a showing of Madagascar 2- a perk for working for Dreamworks. Christmas morning was at our place with Christmas dinner at Great Grandma Marilyn's. Avery's first Christmas was a white one, doesn't get much better than that. The kids were up and opening gifts at 5:30am! They whipped through Santa and family gifts in a flash just in time for back ups to arrive!. All the grandparents (Fisher, Spencer and great grandma Marilyn) and Jacqui arrived with their gifts- yes the kids are so deprived! The mayhem continued. Avery loved the paper best, Logan had stacked his transformers in a pile that was taller than him and Kendall wanted to play with everything at once! Austin and I wanted a nap, but definitely a good time!
