Scholz 2010

We made out annual trip to Schulz Farm through the week to avoid the crowds and were lucky enough to have a break in the weather too! We had a great time running through the patch looking for the perfect pumpkin!  The kids did all the usual things- playing on the tractor, poising for pictures and an apple at the end to enjoy!  We even decided to stop by Spooners too.  We didn't have much time as it started to rain, but we were able to buy a flat of yummy raspberries and take a couple of pictures!

Harvesting

Since it has started to freeze in the morning and the leaves on my pumpkin plants turned black- it was time to harvest!  With a little help from Avery we picked a bunch, they were just a little smaller than I had hoped, bet great still!

This is what happened after the frost :0(

Under the Lights

These last couple of weeks have been busy with soccer activities.  Since Stephanee is the girls basketball coach at Franklin Pierce she was able to hook the girls up.  The Lightning Bolts were able to go in the locker room, warm-up and shag balls for the Franklin Pierce High School Girls Soccer Team!  It was chilly, wet, but the girls were in the stadium under the lights with the big kids so they loved it!

How does your garden grow????????

We planted a garden again this year and did pretty well. My corn never looked very good, but I grew green beans for the first time and they were yummy! I also grew lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers and peas too, but my favorite is always the pumpkins! This year I made a pumpkin patch on the other side of the shed and planted several different types of pumpkins- carving, pie, ghost etc. I also planted 2 zucchini plants! From the pictures you can tell we have way too much zucchini! The kids love the garden and it is so cute to watch Avery copy me by pulling parts of the vegetables when I am pulling weeds! Logan has already decided which pumpkin in the patch is his. I can't wait to pick them and decorate the porch, but we will wait another week or so.

Logan has claimed this one as his

Just some of the zucchini we picked! Avery and Logan found smaller ones to "try"

Autumn Fest 2010

We started October off with Autumn Fest at St. Nick's. It is an annual event for the school and Logan was thrilled to be the one we were there for.  Kendall loved meeting up with old friends and Avery just loved all the treats and playing with all the kids.

Fall Activities 2010

Fall is in full swing and the kids are super busy!  Logan has ice skating lessons one day a week and Kendall has Soccer, practice one day a week and a game on the weekend.  Kendall also started art class on Wednesdays, since Wednesdays are a half day.  The kids are loving all the activities and here are a few pictures.
