Kendall's 1st grade music performance

Kendall had her music performance on Thursday night.  All the first and second grade classes put on an Americana themed performance. It was really cute and we are so proud of Kendall! Everyone did a great job!

Carnival Time

Lakeland Elementary had their big fundraising Carnival on Friday May 14th.  We all headed to Kendall's school for some games, treats and the auction/raffle.  I didn't win anything in the raffle but did purchase preferred seating for Kendall's upcoming musical conference!  The kids had a great time playing all the games and it looked like the school made some money.

Kendall's Coach Pitch

Unfortunately while we were in Vegas we missed Kendall's first games of the season, but she did great and there are plenty more left in the season.  Bothered me more than her so we off we go with two games a week until June!  She is working hard on hitting the ball this year since the coach pitches to them.  She has decided she doesn't like player catcher, but thinks the pitchers mound is the best spot on the field.  Amazing how much they change, lets see if she thinks the same way at the end of the season.

First week of May

Gosh, the first week in May flew by!  After Kendall's field trip we took the kids to the grandparent's house and off to Vegas we went.  We had a great time walking the strip, hanging by the pool and of course gambling.  We stayed at the Monte Carlo on the main strip for a change.  We love old town, but since it had been years since we really explored the strip we took this trip to do it. There are some really nice new hotels like the Palazza and Aria, but otherwise everything is just way over priced, so looking forward to the next trip to the Nugget :0)  Sorry not all the pics I could posted as they are not kid friendly- The pool at the Monte Carlo got pretty racy with a guy walking around in the "Borat" outfit and a bachelor party that decided to use an anatomically correct blow up doll for their floaty! Only in Vegas Baby!

Kendall's Field Trip

May 4th, Kendall's first grade class went on a field trip to Pioneer Farms.  There were a lot of us on the trip, but it was great.  We all enjoyed learning about the Native Americans and Pioneer lifestyles.  Mrs. Redman is an amazing teacher and we have been so blessed to have her, we will really miss her next year!

Logan's first game

May 3rd was Logan first official T-ball game, thought it would of been cancelled with the 60 mile and hour wind gusts, but the game went on and it didn't rain until the end :0) Logan had a great hit, but we will have to work on him actually running to first base since he likes to skip and doesn't see why he needs to rush.

May Day means Yard Work

The first weekend in May was spent working on the yard.  It is getting better, slowly but surely only about another weekend and it should be done.

Happy 40th Joel

Joel Clark is officially 40 now and we were lucky enough to be invited to the party!  We have know Cindy and Joel now for a little over 10 years, wow the time flies!  Cindy works with Austin and nobody throws a party like the Clark's!  This time I must say Cindy out did herself as they roasted a whole pig!  The kids get along great and they live on plenty of property for us and the other Clark's to bring our trailers.  So, we had a great day of BBQ, 4-5-6, batting practice (for the boys) and general hanging out!  When the kids went to bed in the trailers it was a late night at the campfire for the adults.  We all had such a great time and wish Joel another great 40 years!

Goodbye Angel!

The last weekend in April was really busy as well as a little sad.  We said good-bye to Angel who had been living with us for the last 3 months.  While we knew the arrangement would be temporary it was still a little hard to say good-bye.  We will still be in touch with him and wish him the very best!

Logan's Jamboree 2010

The last weekend in April Logan had his first T-ball game.  Two games actually in a Jamboree.  Austin and Justin coached the mainly boys team, only 4 girls on it. The kids did great since the weather was windy and wet off and on, it was a little chilly too.  All the kids had fun and are now looking forward to the season.  Go Rainers!
