Wands & Water fun at the GWL

We took off on a mini-vacation these last couple of days to the Great Wolf Lodge in Grand Mound Washington! We went to celebrate Logan's birthday month and the kids had a couple of days off of school for parent/teacher conferences. We had a wonderful time!  We have been there before, but this time the kids seemed to enjoy everything a lot more.  Kendall was able to go on all the slides and Austin and I took turns going on the "Tornado" with her-AWESOME water slide!  I loved it as much as she did! Logan was a lot more comfortable in the wave pool, not sure if he will feel the same way this summer when he doesn't have the life jacket, but he stayed in the wave pool most of the time even though he could go on all the slides but the Tornado.  Avery loved the kiddie park and was all over it, not a fan of the slides though! The kids played the wand game both days as well and even finished one of the adventures by beating the dragon, and of course no mini-vacation would be complete with out some treats and ice-cream it was!  We loved the Great Wolf Lodge, especially since there was a wind advisory happening and raining sideways when we checked into the hotel.  The 80 degree indoor pool was a great break from the rain!

Mr. & Mrs. Matt Titus

Matt and Nancy were married in February 2011, in California.  Since all of the family did not make the trip to Cali a small reception was held when they were up visiting the Everette area last weekend!

We are so lucky to have Nancy joining the family! Congrats to the happy couple!
FYI- this picture was taken by Logan while he was playing with my camera and he did pretty well I think!

Logan's loses 2 teeth

On Friday 2/25/11 Logan came home from school having lost his first tooth! He lost it at lunch time while eating. He was so excited and I was a little heartbroken as it was just another sign of how fast the kids grow! He was very excited to see what he would get from the tooth fairy since his friend from school received 20.00 and a gold coin!!! What! I assured him we lived in the low rent district and the fairy tends to give less than 5.00! A little disappointed he still put his tooth under his pillow and received his 2.00 in the form of 4 .50 pieces! On Saturday he lost his second tooth! Again the fairy gave him 2.00 so now with his 4.00 he is dying to buy something!

Kendall at 8 is an amazing young lady! O course I am bias, but she is smart, silly, polite, creative and above all else so kind hearted!  She always makes us proud and this month at school she was recognized for some of her qualities!
Every month, the teachers recommend kids from their class that they feel have shown "Excellence" in some area.  Kendall received her award for "her amazing mathematical abilities! She is able to see patterns in numbers, think of creative ways to solve problems and explain her thinking to the class!"
We are soooo proud and I know she did not get her math abilities from me!  Way to go Kendall!!!

February Moments 2011

February has been an interesting month, the weather has been cold, wet and windy!  The Fisher family has been off and on with the sickies too!  So when the weather was nice enough we have headed outside, but really this month a lot of time has been spent laying low at home.

Our Yoda Bear is getting so big!

This is how you find Kendall 9 out of 10 times!  She is such a great reader she reads all the time and I order 10-12 books a week from the library plus she gets books from her school library, hope she continues this love affair!

A sunny day finally! It was cold, but still Avery had a great time!
