March Madness 2010

Wow, it is hard to believe March is almost over! I have barely had time to come up for air, so the blog has been neglected along with everything else! March has been really busy so I will just hit some of the hightlights:
- Avery continues to grow like a weed, she is talking a lot now and is amazingly clear! Just last night she said "Logan brush teeth, NOW" no idea where she gets the "now" from :0)
-Logan will turn 5 this month! He is such a loving and amazing little boy with quite the imagination.
-Kendall finished basketball and her and Logan both will be starting T-ball (sigh), not sure if I will survive all the sports.
-Angel has spent two weeks now at the school for the deaf in Washington. We have had a few bumps along the way, but he really enjoys it!
-Both Kendall and Logan had conferences at school and are doing great!
-Austin was out of town for 4 days at the APWA conference, that's AKA-Golf and bill the office!
-I managed to show off my wonderful driving skills by hitting a parked car!
-We surprisingly sold the land, so the dream of building a custom home is gone, but so is the land payment!
-I officially resigned to the school district and won't be working next year! Yes, I did this last school year and foolishly agreed to work in June when a principal called, but I have learned my lesson and promise to at least try the stay at home gig for a year!
-Marilyn continues to mend after her back surgery and is greatly missed at bowling on Thursdays.
-We said good-bye to Grandpa Charlie's and Carol's chocolate Lab-Hershey :0(
Really--all this has happened and the month is not officially over, but it is the start of Spring Beak, Yipppppeeeee!

Valentine's....oh my

What a crazy busy last week! The kids spent time carefully writing out all their valentines. We made 6 dozen cookies and a batch of brownie bites for the big school parties on Friday. I spent time with Joan and Connie Thursday night at the casino celebrating Connie's 60th Birthday! Saturday we had planned to take the kids bowling and they were sooo excited to find the bowling alley had a tournament going on and no lanes available. Instead we headed to my least favorite place, but we needed to eat- Chuck E Cheese. The kids had a great time, Austin and I were a little stressed with kids in all directions. Sunday was Valentine's Day! Austin and I treated ourselves to Indian Food- thanks to casino winnings. The kids picked bagel bites and chicken nuggets for dinner! They had valentine's from us waiting in the morning and then Grandparents stopped by bearing more gifts. Monday Austin was back to work and I was out numbered at home. Kendall started running a fever and off to Woodcreek she went- unspecified virus. The boys have been loving the Wii. Tuesday was time to enjoy the sunshine. The kids played a ton outside and we even went for a walk at the park, I walked, kids skateboarded and scootered. Wednesday means they will be back to school and thankfully for me I have the whole week off since I only work Mondays and Tuesdays-Hallelujah!

Meet Angel

Hi everyone!
Seems like forever since I posted as so much has been happening! I want to introduce you to Angel. He is 10 years old and Deaf.

He will be staying with us for awhile...... meaning we don't know how long, but we are happy to have him. It has been an adjustment for everyone, but thankfully a good adjustment! He is very sweet and fitting right in with the Fisher 5, so I guess until further notice we will be the Fisher 6 :0)

cup stacking

Kendall's cups finally arrived and she has been stacking non-stop! For those who don't know cup stacking is a sport and one that they work on in PE class. It is good for hand eye coordination. They start with 3 cups and work their way up and everything is timed. Pretty amazing how fast they get at it!

K's bowling/sleepover birthday

The big day finally came for Kendall to have her friend's and family birthday party! She was allowed to pick 5 girls to go bowling and sleepover. I learned my lesson with having 10 last year! This year I was hoping the bowling would tire them out early-no such luck! The girls didn't fall asleep until after 12:30am! Kendall had an amazing time. We all had a blast bowling at Pacific Lanes, even the adults bowled! Then we did cupcakes, jello pops and gifts at the bowling alley before heading home. Once home we ate a gourmet meal of hot-dogs, again Kendall's request, then the party was one. They painted nails, played barbies, dress-up and watched a couple of movies before finally drifting off to slumber. In the morning Austin made the girls waffles, pancakes and bacon. Then it was more play time, shooting hoops, on the playground and the computer before it was time to say good bye and pass out the goody bags. All the girls played really well together and had a wonderful time, I think this is becoming a tradition! At least one Kendall would like to start :0)

Great Wolf Lodge 1/10

On Thursday after school we headed to the Great Wolfe Lodge to keep the birthday celebrations going and for some family fun! We had a great time. We arrived after dinner on Thursday night so we spent the evening running around the hotel playing the Magic Quest Wand game. We had done this before, but it was really cute to have Avery in on the action. On Friday we spent the day in the park, had some ice-cream and another Quest before heading home. We were all very tired so it was an early dinner and to bed as the weekend would be Kendall's big party!

Happy Birthdays

I know we all feel this way, that time keeps slipping by, but again I will say I can't believe where the time goes. Austin is now 34 and our baby Kendall is 7! Crazy to think it has been 7 years since we started the journey of parenthood. At any rate we are enjoying the ride and this birthday was no exception. Kendall and Austin started the morning with a big breakfast and gifts. Then Kendall was off to school. She had a pizza lunch with the school counselor-Mrs. Drury, because they have the same birthday! Kendall invited her friend Maddy, Avery, me and the Principal Mr. Soltez even joined in on the fun. Then it was off to class for cupcakes, before the earthquake drill! Once school was out we headed to Grandma and Grandpa Fisher's for dinner. Kendall had requested steak, so steak it was then more gifts and finally cake and ice-cream! What a busy but amazing day! Happy Birthday Kendall and Austin!
